Rygel and Zhaan: this actually made me cry - not that I'm complaining, these were good tears.
Rygel's body language is indeed in his eyebrows: they never lie, even when he is, and here they give away his true feelings. The small moment where he leans into Zhaan's hand is the one that brought tears to my eyes, because I could *see* it so clearly: a moment in which the true Rygel, the wise and compassionate creature that Zhaan was always able to see under the disguise, came to the fore.
Beautiful and poignant. And perfect.
John and Jack: this truly caught the early John Crichton to perfection - the man with many chips on his shoulder, with too many unresolved questions with his father and his own life. A man who still has some hard lessons to learn and who - fortunately - be morally strong enough to accept them.
The part of Jack's sentence about saying "I'm sorry, but I have to go", reminded me non just of the later John and his momentous decision on Earth's Moon, but also of Talin John resolve to... "go and be a hero", despite his love for Aeryn. So this story was indeed a double bonus. Again, beautiful and deep.
Thank you. Thank you very much! **deep bow**
