I'm still having fun imagining Kiefer trying to be like David Bowie. (God, I love that article.) *gleefully imagines Kiefer dressed as Ziggy Stardust*

I always loved it - 60s 70s rock is what I grew up on, really.

My dad tried raising me on it, but I was of the "It's old, it sucks" mindset. That's obviously been replaced. ;) But now I listen to just about everything under the sun, except for a good deal of rap music and today's country. (Though I surprised my mom by putting the radio on a bluegrass station and leaving it there while I was driving. It's not as bad as I used to think.)

I try finding music I haven't heard before. It helps to get me in the mood for writing. One song can inspire something I haven't thought of yet and come up with new dialogue for a scene. I've recently gotten into Dave Matthews/Dave Matthews Band and Damien Rice. (I <3 Damien Rice so very, very much.)
I'm coming to appreciate it now, as I'm from the South, and that's the kind of music my mom grew up on.

I love Dave's lyrics. They're absolutely beautiful. I still believe that "Crash Into Me" is the most loving, adoring, raunchiest song ever. He's so adoring of this woman, but then, you realize... he's fantasizing about having sex with her. Then again, it's Dave Matthews. (My mom was talking about how he always looks so happy and calm when he's singing and playing music. That's one of the sexiest things ever, in my opinion.)
