whirlwind of life

So, my life has been crazy during the last week. It all started when I went to the teaching job fair on Tuesday. I had a lot of interviews that I think went alright. I did a second interview with Corvallis that day, and a school in Idaho called me back for an interview on Wednesday. So ladida go back on Wednesday for my interview. Was going with the ok, so if I do well then I'll turn in my appication in the next couple weeks and they'll probably really consider me. Insdtead I got a major shock. They offered me a job to teach third grade at one of the elementary schools. I almost fell out of the chair when I got the offer. So now I'm trying to rearrange my schedule to fly to idaho to look at the school, meet with the principle, and check out the town. SO my head is spinning the whole car ride home. I was excited to have an offer, but I also am not a huge fan of southern idaho. BUt then it gets even more crazy.

Ryan called my on the way home with more news. I had talked with his mom the night before sense she works for the Corvallis school district and she wanted to know how it went and so on, especially sense I had a second interview in Corvallis. I was under the impression by the looks of things that Corvallis had done a lot of second interviews that day. Well Karen, ryan's mom found out that almost 3000 people were at the fair adn corvallis did 40 second interviews. This shocked me enough, and most those interviews were for secondary level jobs. So Karen asked about me and the human resource lady knew exactly who I was, as far as I know I never actually met her. I only talked with a male principle. But she said they loved my interview and are very interested in me. Karen mentioned that I was going for a second interview with Nampa, and the lady's response was tell her not to sign anything yet, we need to talk with her too. So this made me feel really good, especially knowing how hard it is to get a teachign job in Corvallis.

So I have these two places that seem to be interested. There are still a few other places I need to apply to that I talked with at the job fair. There's one that I would love to get in Wyoming. It would be in Afton, and during my interview with the superintendent I wanted the job even more. Things have been completely crazy, not knowing what to do, if I want to stay or want to go. I didn't expect to even have a job offer this early in the game and don't know what to think.

So that has been my life. Trying to make some big decisions. Need to call the Nampa rep back to schedule a day to visit and meet with the principle from the school. Arrange flights, all kind of fun stuff. And arrange it with me trying to do all of my student teaching in salem. So I know this was a way longer post than I normally post, but I needed to get it out in some way.
