In other words, I turned 20! *Le Gasp!* I am now over a week older than twenty years. And I still walk to school. But now I can say I walk to school in the snow (Italian snow-foreign snow), uphill, barefoot because they don't believe in shoes in Europe. Yep. Ok...maybe not...but it is thunder storming today. Pretty awesome lightning, if I do say so myself.
ANYWHO! So...yeah...birthday!
The first thing we did that weekend was go to the beach. ^^ No...there were no middle-aged nude me. Or even men in thongs. In fact, there were only about five other people on our beach, all of the clothed...
Getting ready to go...on the balcony...T__T;
On the train...
I didn't know polution was that bad. Seriously, help the palm trees!
The beach!
The beach babe!
Yeah,we sexy.
Yo! It's 65 at the water front here. How's New York?
I'm so loved...
Dang it feels good to be a gangsta.
On the way back we had to look at these...
After the beach...it was time to play dress up and have a feast!
And feast we did! We had bruschetta and the Alie's Awesome Salad of Life! made by me and Christie, rice, pasta with portobellas and shrimp, and sauteed green beans made by Tiffany, followed by lemon cake with frosting made by me (it was supposed to be whipped cream, but I apparently can't read Italian. Dang.) and four or five different bottles of wine. It was...splendid. It was us girls along with Audree and Chrystal (our other rommies), the two Mikes, and Ty.
I feel pretty, oh so pretty...
Mamba!
If Mom and Dad have taught me one thing, it's how to open a bottle of wine...:)
Good times, good times! That was Saturday. Sunday, we did Football. Yeppers. A real, Italian football game (my first professional football game ever, and I have to say...).
...we weren't the only ones there. Seriously, I think most of the time, the crowd was more entertaining than the game.
Yes, that's a flare. In the middle of a mosh pit. Go, Italy!
Just in case anyone parties too hardy...
And...the final score. Rome won. I got to see a hot dude (whom has been dubbed 'Surfer Soccer Dude' take off his shirt. Good times.
That was a really fun, relaxed weekend. Probably the most eventful birthday I've had in a while, not that Dad's cooking isn't splendiferous, but I doubt there'd be 18,000 people and a beach at our dinner parties. Anywho, the point is, it was fun. Hopefully, my twenties will be just as loud, eventful, and full of good food.
I hope everyone is doing well. Dad, if you see Grams, give her a hug for me. Kelly and the kids, too. Mum, see you soon!
OK! Tune in again next time for....Florence and Pisa!!!
