Booyah. I had an eventful shopping trip, even though I was as sick as a dog during it. Woke up yesterday with a sore throat and what I had reason to believe was the start of a sinus infection (and let me tell you, it is). Dad drove me to AC and we parted ways by Trump Plaza. I figured I had some time before any buses (the 502, 508, and 553 go to the Hamilton Mall at different intervals), so I looked around the Walk (not the boardwalk, this other places with new shops). Dress Barn doesn't carry swimsuits, Claire's didn't have anything I liked (last thing I bought there was years ago, a Carebear dogtag necklace), and so I stopped by a Stewarts stand (bright orange) and got an Orange Cream soda. It made my throat better for a bit. I went into the bus terminal right across the street to get the three schedules, noticed the ticket window was closed due to error with their systems and a note saying to pay on the bus. An announcement was made that teh 553 was leaving in a few minutes, so I hopped on that. Good thing too, I was at the mall in like 22 minutes. So I got off, walked across a highway to the shopping center across from it. Looked in Pier 1, used the loo in Acme (they didn't have sushi, otherwise I would have bought lunch there), browsed in Jo Ann Fabrics, but they didn't have anything worth purchasing. I wish someone carried rayon...
Stopped in the matress store and looked at models there. I want to upgrade to a full, it's wider; I talked to teh very nice store manager and got a business card so I can find my way back. Stopped in Festival Health- they redid the aisles. Got nutritional yeast, flax seeds, Braggs, this awesome Canadian fake-chicken boullion, and unsalted cashews ('cause they rock). Walked to Walmart, tried on every swimsuit in my old size and what I think is my current size (which I'm not sharing), finally settled on a black one-piece with some embroidery that resembles palm leaves. Also picked a pair of mess running shorts, two bottled water flavoring mixes, a star cookie cutter, an icecube tray, two sheets of clear Rainbow Brite stickers, a pair of sandals (booyah NOT LEATHER!), and a pair of boyshorts underwears- with no tag! Oh, I love the printed-on tags, so less itchy. I had stopped in Toys R Us on the way to Walmart and checked out their Star Wars toys- I couldn't find the blue Twi'lek or pregnant Padme, but low and behold, I got the last Padme on the shelf at Walmart. I looked through all the displays, which there were a dozen or so blue-girl, only one Padme. Left Walmart, my rucksack noticably heavier, and got a vanilla milkshake at the McDonald's back towards the Acme. It helped coat my throat for a bit.
Entered the mall at Sears, looked thru their lingerie and sleepweear department. Picked up a pair of Snow White purple bottoms and a pair of lace knickers. Was on my way to the food court, it was 4pm and I hadn't eaten since 8 or 9- and even then it was a glass of water and a yogurt since I barely ever eat a decent breakfast- and this lady manning a kiosk tries to drag me there, grabbing my hands and asking about my nailcare. First off- don't fucking touch me. Second- bitch, when I tell you I have got to get to the foodcourt since I haven't eaten in 7 or 8 hours, don't fucking argue with me! This is why I hate people. I escaped, but not before she gave me this look.. ug... went upstairs to the FC, ordered two spring rolls, cucumber roll, and a medium orange Fanta. I must have downed about a third of the Fanta before starting the rest of the meal in front of me. It was very good... I tend to forget to drink things when I'm walking outside for extended periods of time. I've also burnt my nose several times this month, not thinking it was bright enough to warrant sunscreen. So I sat and ate/rested for.. eh, quarter hour? Then I stopped by Hot Topic, getting an APC single of 'Imagine' and an AFI hits, both vinyl. Poked my head in Spencer gifts, Victoria's secret and Habitat but I didn't want anything.
Someone's home, prolly my brother, so I'm posting this unfinished and I'll fini tomorrow.
