Yesterday I was ringing up this guy at the register when he all of a sudden says, "You have really pretty eyes." I'm sure I blushed and then was like, "Here's your cheesecake..." Ha ha but it was nice of him to compliment me. It's nice to be reminded that people find you attractive. It definitely made my day. I was actually surprised that he even noticed since brown hair, brown eyes isn't the most amazing thing going.
I think the guy at work, Tyler who just started this summer but is already a shift leader and third in command after my assistant manager and who everyone does not like, actually likes me (like a a co-worker, he's way too old to want to date me, plus he has a girlfriend and he is a very strange duck) Anyway I mentioned to him that I was opening for the first time by myself on Sunday and he was like well if you have any problems you can call me. Then he asked me the other day if I was still ok with it and I was like, "oh yeah, Caro-lyne (my manager) is going to be there. She going to go over shift leader stuff with me too (since I got promoted and all)." And Tyler was like "oh, I didn't know she had made that decision." And I was like, "yep" And then he said, "Well I was going to suggest it to her anyway." That was really nice of him! Plus, and I don't know if he does this to other people. But when he is on register and I'm making drinks he sends me funny messages through the drink printer. So drinks will come up with:

No Whip
I said NO WHIP
SPECIAL PREP
No Means No
SPECIAL PREP
Because the customer doesn't want any
SPECIAL PREP
Yep that's what I get. And then while I'm training new people he sends me these random messages which I feel the need to explain. ha ha. Anyway it's strange because no one, except my manager likes him but he seems to be ok with me. I guess I'm just that go with the flow type of person, ha ha.
Finally, I don't think I said this yet, but the pledge kid (Laura Miller) that I was so excited for depledged :( It wasn't because of me because clearly from this post I'm super likeable and have pretty eyes, ha ha. But it was money issues and because she didn't connect with her own pledge class. But I'm still sad. Now I guess I'm getting an informal kid but I don't even know. We'll see how it goes. Maybe I'll just split Gina's kid.
