Another Christmas Update
Yep... you are all stuck reading just one more update.
So, I made it off the flight without my head imploding. As a matter of fact, now I know. I don't need gum... I need extra strength Halls. Most of the pressure seems to be caused by my sinus... funny that.
Scott picked me up at the airport with dear drunk Uncle George. It took us a few to get rid of him so we could drive home. ... hehe... okay, yes, we made a pit stop on the way. So there is no way we are going to tell his dad how much we enjoy the extended cab feature in his truck.
It was a good christmas over all. I got some nice, easy to carry loot. I've been sleeping lots and my sinus infection seems to have cleared up nicely. The mother in law has been doing her best to spoil me and the father in law seems to be trying to make up for the now failed attempt to separate Scott and I for Christmas. Including making sure we have some spending money for visiting. Which is nice... so here's hoping that he keeps failing to fuck us up... hehe. That and he's been keeping me full of rum every chance he gets.
In about 2 hours we should be going over to the traditional Boxing day bake off. Scott and I currently have nothing as I can't shop with pneumonia and there isn't much here we can do up quickly and easily so as not to disturb Scott's mom's kitchen.
Please remember that I love my mother in law. But she drives me FUCKING nuts! I can't stand it. She blathers on and on. She stalls and as far as she is concerned Scott and I couldn't possibly get under foot... her husband on the other hand... he breaths funny and it's annoying to her. I'm trying to do laundry. She needs a shower. Okay, no prob. We are on a deadline to get into town...so, I'll let you know when the washer stops doing it's thing and you tell me when you are done your shower... Washer's done. She gets lunch. She makes herself tea. She's talked to me about reorganizing the CD collection... she's finally gone for her shower. According to her, it should only take another 1/2 hour before I can put on a new load of laundry.
Frustration.
I am an organized person. I can multi-task. I can get done 4 things at the same time. I am efficient and can not stand to have a disorganized, inefficient person just fucking around wasting time I don't have. I also need a shower, and to finish my laundry so I can leave the house. While updating on my lj I have... gotten my work schedule, changed and folded my laundry, pet the cat and gotten lunch. Sigh.
Frustration.
I love my mother in law. I just needed to vent. Sorry folks.
Anyway, I'm going to go stick my nose out into the shop and see how the boys are doing. Then I'm going to put away the little laundry I have done, see if there is anything I have clean to wear out tonight for myself and Scott. Then I'm going to curl up with a book and a solid drink and be grateful I don't have to drive tonight.
