I had a date with Lil Stephie, Drew's sister, today... to see Step Up. We loved it!!! It reminds me of Dirty Dancing and anyone who knows anything knows that that is my ALL TIME favorite movie.
Dirty Dancing makes me miss one of my (old) best friends...... who I never talk to anymore.
So school starts in a week... and I'm not at home so I don't get to get stressed with packing (thank god) or get that ickk feeling about leaving everyone. This is a good thing but at the same time it just makes me miss my friends even more. Every year is another reminder that we're all getting older and potentially growing apart. Two years ago I graduated high school and was getting ready to move to school and there is no way you could have told me that my friendships would change the way they have; it's too unbelievable. Sure, we all try to keep in touch usually through facebook & myspace... but it's not the same. Hell, I've even completely lost touch with some people who were my closest friends. I never wanted it this way but I suppose that's just the way it is! This weekend I went to a get-to-gether type thing with Drew and his uncle and two best friends from high school were there. It was so cute... they all have kids now and they call each other uncle even though technically they're not. That's what I want-- and with most of my friends have kids so now it's possible LOL... but that's not my point. My point is that I want to stay friends until we are old enough to have kids & parties... and still be as close as we once were.
Sigh. Cold medicine kicked in.... good night!
