Once you have your base icon, follow these instructions:

1. Edit >> Copy >> Paste as New Layer

2. Adjust the new layer (Raster 1) to "Screen" 100%

3. Layers >> New Raster Layer

4. Fill the new raster layer (Raster 2) with a light yellow. Adjust Raster 2 to "Soft Light" 30%. It really doesn't matter, actually, what the soft light percentage is, just as long as you are comfortable with it, but in this case, I will be using 30%, because I don't want the yellow to be a huge impact on my overall result.

5. Layers >> New Raster Layer

6. Fill the new raster layer (Raster 3) with a light purple. Adjust Raster 3 to "Burn" 44%. Again, it doesn't really matter what the percentage is, just as long as you are comfortable with it, but in this case, I will be using 44% because I don't want purple to be a huge impact on my overall result.

7. Layers >> Merge >> Merge All (Flatten). The merged image is now "Background."

8. Edit >> Copy >> Paste as New Layer (Raster 1)

9. Adjust the new layer (Raster 1) as "Overlay" 100%.

10. Layers >> New Raster Layer (Raster 2).

11. Fill the new layer (Raster 2) with either dark grey or black. Adjust Raster 2 to "Luminance (L)" 36%.

12. Layers >> Merge >> Merge All (Flatten).

TA-DAH!

YOUR FINAL RESULTS IN COMMENTS WOULD BE GREAT :)
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HOW YOU DID.
