DMCA madness.
This scares me:
MDY owner personally responsible for costs for DMCA/Copyright infringement.
I don't play WoW, nor do I plan to do so lest I give up all of my free time. Fable 2 is bad enough as it is!
What scares me is:
* It sounds like stopping a program from scanning your system is considered a DMCA violation. How many steps are we from
* The owner is personally responsible, instead of the firm. What about all of the heads of Merill Lynch, WaMU, Wachovia, and the heads of the funds and financial instruments that are destroying the financial health of the nation. Shouldn't all of those executives have their wealth stripped, and be personally responsible for the mistakes made by their greed? Shouldn't they be sent into poverty for the catastrophe they caused all so they can install bathrooms costing hundreds of thousands of dollars?
I admit that I have no idea what the program did, since I don't travel in those grounds. But it seems that it would be enough to force the company out of business.. and force many thousands of peopleinto bankruptcy before focusing on someone that wrote a mod to an online game.
