Soooo it's been a while since I've been on my myspace page. Hard to explain all that's been going on... erm... the securitas down here in Florida kinda gave me a bad turn... as in the ommited a few important facts that I needed to know before moving down to Florida. Such as that they will not hire you unless you have a security license, and you need to train for 40 hours, 8 hours a day 5 days in one week...
And that classes fill up quick. IF they had been so kind as to have informed me I would have signed up for classes months in advance so it would be available as soon as I was there and I could start working almost right off the bat. Instead I'm currently jobless running to the library and to Mike's dad's house stealing his internets... really bloody fast internets too. 0.0 I likes his interwebs.
Last night I was just at the pool hall, well "a" pool hall where Mike, his dad and his dad's pool leage were there. So I got to learn the ropes of playing pool in a leage. Different rules so on and so forth. Mike and his step brother Kenny are both level 5's (though you rank changes every time depending on your score the previous time) his dad is an 8 or 9ish. as in OMG he's so good at pool! I had a lot of fun though, the guys were all really nice and we had fun ribbing each other when it came to the game.
I got to learn different terms that they used too, like a Saftey (put the queball in a position where your oppenent will have no chance to hit their balls), racks and rails (the edges of the pool table) calling shots, when to call shots, ball in hand. Mike and I had a few practice runs while we were at it. Him and Kenny and his dad were giving me some advice on how to better shoot pool... I had a blast... the only thing I didn't like was the Cig smoke. It wasn't TOO bad in the pool hall since they had several large fans going. but when we got in the car the cig smoke on our clothes was just so bad I was getting nausius so we ended up driving away with all the windows down.
I've had some interesting run ins with Giant terantula looking spiders called "Wood" spiders or "Hunterman" spiders. Big and brown... I woke up with a dead one on the floor next to my bed near my head. I kinda freaked a little... and I'm not one to be scared of spiders. I can laugh at myself now but... I don't know... a huge ass spider ends up next to your head when your sleeping and you have no idea what it is if it's poisonous or anything like that? I'd freak too...
The place I'm staying at the moment has a ton of cockroaches too.. I shake my fist at them at night when they're everywhere. I kill them every chance I get... some how hoping in vain I can keep their numbers down... also Mike has some "combat Gel" that I've been putting around the most dense area's. It killses dem. I only thought I hated Maggots with this much passion but apparently I hates dem cockroaches too.
I got a cold just about as soon as I came down here... made applying for jobs a bit tuff, I kind of figured I'd get sick though. New inviro, new germs body gots to make new antibodies. I'm doing a bit better now, it's mostly gone though I'm still debating on seeing a doctor about the last little bit of it. The colds taken a while to kick.
Been missing my family and friends a lot, but making new friends has helped me out a bit. Mike's dad almost seems like a kinda substitute for my own dad. After going to the pool hall Mike and I had gone to his dad's house for a few more hours before going home and before his dad went home he pretend kissed us on our heads went "Mwa, Love you, good night" to the both of us. It was silly but was kinda sweet at the same time... Going over to his dad's helps me out a little bit when I get really baddly homesick.
Tom and Mel help a little too. Mel is really easy to become friends with and Tom reminds me a bit of Mike but shorter and Skinnier and with short black hair...
I've been going cheep when it comes to fixing my car up. As in buying the parts at the Auto shop and having Mike SR. or Kenny install it. The both of them have a lot of car know how, and the both are willing to teach. I'm deffenitly interested in knowing how, never hurts to learn and you never know when it might come in handy.
Well my time at the library is about to expire. So I'll just have to leave you with that info for now. I'm going to try and send out postcards to a bunch of my friends, not sure "HOW" exactly but I'll deffenitly try. Anyways see yah!
