It looks like everything is going to work out with my move to East Bay. A friend is moving to the East Coast, and I will be able to stay in their house in Alameda for much less than I'm paying where I am now, and without all of the stress inherent in my current living situation. I am much relieved. I will have a nice place to live, and they will have someone caring for their home so they don't have worry about it being trashed. And I'll be close to
gileswench so she and I can bake pies in my new kitchen. (and there was much rejoicing).
Work also looks like it will be more in the East Bay/San Francisco area instead of the South Bay as I thought, so that too is good. Right now I have a couple of tele-commute projects happening, so the appeal for work really helped. I'm still looking for other projects, so if you know of anyone who needs web or database development done, send them my way. I'm offering 50% off my regular rate if I can work from home.
