25 Random Things About Me...
Here’s a short meme that I put on Facebook yesterday. I thought it was fairly cool, and might be of interest hence why I’m posting it here.

1. ..I'm dyslexic, dyspraxic and dyscalculic. I identify as disabled.
2. ..I can juggle although only currently with three balls. I’m working on clubs.
3. ..I always cry when I watch Out of Africa. I sometimes cry at other sad movies too although mostly
......only when I'm on my own or with someone I trust.
4. ..I don't really like working for other people. Actually, I don’t really like work.
5. ..I really hate cheese but I love cheesy crisps and cheesecake.
6. ..I don't like being in a room where the door is closed because I'm a bit claustrophobic.
7. ..I once won a Blue Öyster Cult record on the radio by eating three cream crackers, fast.

11. I’ve been a volunteer with the charity, Crisis, for over 15 years.
12. I've always wanted to do a parachute jump. Even though it would be very scary.
13. I absolutely love science fiction. Yes. This does include Star Trek.
14. I’m a little bit of a geek for the film 2001. My desktop computer, (a Mac) is called Hal 9000. The
......icon for it is a picture of Hal’s red ‘eye’ and when I start him up, he says in Hal’s voice, “My
......circuits are functioning perfectly...” Even more geeky. My Mac laptop is called Sal 9000, (Hal’s
......sister computer) and has a blue eye as in the film 2010.
15. I bite my nails. Sometimes fairly compulsively. < sigh > It’s a fault I know.
16. My favourite foods are peanut butter and sweet pickled gherkin sandwiches and also celery dipped
......in mayonnaise, (for when I'm feeling really indulgent!).
17. I love photography. I always doubt my ability though and I frequently wonder if I’m really any
......good. I think I might be but I'm not sure.
18. I once held my breath for 3 minutes and 30 seconds while training for free diving. I still swim
......lengths underwater.
19. I’m negatively buoyant. In a pool I sink. This is not necessarily a problem. See answer No. 18
20. I can count to 10 in Hebrew and Spanish.
21. I went to a horric boys boarding school. I survived with fairly deep scars. Some boys didn’t.
22. I love cycling. I’ve ridden the London to Brighton bike ride 15 times, the London to Southend once,
......the overnight Dunwich Dynamo once and also once rode around the Tour de France racing circuit
......in Paris, as part of the final stage, pre-race events.
23. My favourite designers are Raymond Loewy, Neville Brody, Jan Tschichold, and the work of the
......Bauhaus generally.
24. I am scared of dark and wet enclosed spaces and especially of drowning in a submarine.
25. my hair used to be thick and dark brown. Sadly it is now thinning and greying due to age.
