I’m feeling pretty good right now, in contrast to last weekend when I was feeling pretty low, desperate and depressed.
I’ve been working hard this week and my CV has been tidied up and posted to Monster and all the normal suspects. I’ve also done loads of work on my online presence and my website, (albeit on a freelancer community site) is now looking fairly good. If you feel like giving some feedback I’d be happy to hear your thoughts. I’m also now listed on the
NUJ freelance directory,
Photographers Directory,
GetAFreelancer,
Creative Handbook and
LinkedIn websites. Boy! If all this doesn’t pick me up some work then I don’t know what will!
In addition to all this I had a meeting with a Business Link mentor, (who was brilliant) and she really made me feel that possibly I haven’t made a terrible mistake by trying to go freelance. I got some great contacts from her and left feeling much more optimistic.
Another really positive thing this week was that I’ve now finished and delivered the logo design for
Panoptic Sport that I was working on and the client, (who was a delight to deal with) has told me that the cheque will be in the post tomorrow.
I also managed to give one of my business cards to a Peabody Trust officer who I met in a meeting, who then gave me the whiff of the possibility of some future photographic work. Wow. Here’s hoping!
