Because it's been expressed SEVERAL places as of late, including a few DA communities and really I had NO IDEA about some of the laws until I myself called Fish and Game about it

You can't own freaking crow feathers? I understand these laws are to protect the birds, but damn. I think people have the right to pick up and keep found feathers. I recently found a perfect crow feather in the parking lot that's sitting on my shelf, and I had no idea it was illegal to have it. It seems completely insane to me for that to be illegal.

I do and don't agree with it. I understand the -law- and that really it's for an ease of use since feathers really can't be tracked if someone killed a bird or just found a bunch of feathers.... but in that way it sucks
