Writing Log: Handling Little Details

Mar 24, 2009 10:44

03/23/2009 - Monday, no work
* Posted writing logs.
* Penthius freewriting warmup, "Angel Bones."
* Finished revising the first 3 chapters of Vicesteed into Draft 3.
* Submitted Vicesteed to the Wiscon writer's workshop.
* Recently, I found some scribbled quick-edit notes to myself that had gotten mixed up with my printing scrap paper. Figured out where those came from and and stuck them with the appropriate group of chapter critiques. I hate redoing the same work.
* Answered Minnspec critter asking for a snail mail to send crit to.
* Processed another Minnspec crit of Vicesteed chs. 23-24.
* Added my Facebook link to my critique template.
* Processed a critter reluctantly withdrawing their interest in critting Vicesteed.
* Very belatedly thanked and processed a Critters crit of Vicesteed chapters. Bad Abra, no biscuit.
* Read one of Bruce Sterling's versions of the hilarious Turkey City Lexicon: http://w2.eff.org//Misc/Publications/Bruce_Sterling/paradigms_workshop_sterling.lexicon. Necessary reading for any SF/F writer, still useful for a non-genre writer, and funny reading for SF/F fans.
* Signed up for the one-month free trial at the OWW (Online Writing Workshop), http://sff.onlinewritingworkshop.com/.
