Writing Log for Saturday

* Read FFWSmallMarkets, FundsforWriters newsletters
* Penthius freewriting, "Sky Ships: steampunk": low potential, and I accidentally posted it to my main journal on my first try. Oops.
* Got partway through marking-up chapter 2 of Vicesteed. ::shudder:: I'm making it much, much better--and cutting probably a third of it. I'll have to post some edit pages again, or keep a before/after wordcount track, because really, it's rather impressive. Some parts, I can't imagine *what* I was thinking. Removed a lot of interior monologue, restating the obvious, and ellipses. These are my writing weaknesses. Discovered what I think might have been a dropped plot point that would make Rosemary a much more proactive character, which is needed, God knows. Fought off urge to renounce writing forever on grounds that can clearly produce nothing but utter tripe. Won a delayed judgment.
