Gaining ground on the fires
The Tea Fire moved a little last night and is now up to 1940 acres. They've also got a more accurate count of residences burned, up to 210. They've finally posted the address lists as well, and it doesn't look like my landlords or Lauren and Albert lost their homes. All in all, things are dying down on that front.
To the south we still have the Sylmar fire, which is up to 9400 acres and has burned 630 buildings, but is thankfully now 40% contained. I could definitely feel the smoke here yesterday, but it was still nowhere near as bad as driving through Santa Barbara on my way to work Friday morning.
We still have Santa Anas - it's 92F out and blowing between 16 and 24 mph. I don't know about you guys, but I've had enough of this heat wave in November business.
