it's all on my mixed tape
So, the end of orlijah_month is nigh (although in my world, every month is Orlijah Month), and my creative contribution (for reasons to whiny and self-pitying to even include here) thus far equals zero. I can't see that changing any time soon. But, I'd like to do something. So I had an idea. And I thought all you lovely flist types could help me out. When I get ideas to write about I call it "the movie in my head". And as we all know, movies require kick ass soundtracks. So I thought, "hey, why not put together an Orlijah Month soundtrack?" Now, this is where you come in, flist o'mine. Surly I am not the only musically influenced one around. Here's the idea. You comment. You tell me what song reminds you of Orlijah. If you want, you can post a link/upload to that song. If not, I'll find it. Then, I take my big ol' spindle of CDs, combine them with the stack of candy coloured CD cases I purchased for a $1 and some kind of art work (if anyone would like to help with this, that'd be cool, otherwise I can only promise you some kind of stick man/kindergarten art project gone awry results), and tah-dah! Then I'll mail out Orlijah Month CDs to all who contribute and/or want one. Also in the comments you can indicate if you'd like a copy and you can send your mailing info to me: messynessy@gmail.com.
So, that's about it, really. What do y'all think?
