London Calling
I have had olympics fever like nobodies business, this barren period between that ending and the start of the paralympics is very upsetting for me ;~;
I loooved the opening and closing ceremonies, the NHS! Suffragettes (real Pankhursts)! The lesbian kiss! Tinie Tempah (writer of the best lyric in rap history: I've got so many clothes I keep them at my aunt's house)! Annie Lennox! Jessie J (and her amazing butt)! Other assorted exciting things I've forgotten!
I went to some events (and am going to some paralympics athletics finals =D) saw some beach volleyball with Harry and the men's gymnastics team final with my mum which was amaaazing. I love gymnastics anyway but to see our boys get a bronze was brilliant <3 And we got some of the press tickets they realeased to the public so our view was awesome
I also got to meet two of our greatest olympians, Steve Redgrave and Denise Lewis (please ignore my frightened deer face, I was so excited I was shaking, I'm clutching out signed tickets there)
I'm going to have to become a sports nerd because I was so incredibly into it! Some of my other fave moments were Jess Ennis's gold and general adorable presence, Mo Farahs double, Usain Bolt remaining the coolest man alive, THE BOLT MOBOT TEAMUP (I want them to be in a sitcom together), the BBC presenting team, Laura Trott's wins, Jade Jones unexpected win, tbh I could go on for days I loved it.
So proud to be British and a Londoner rn <3333
In non-olympics news, I have a flat! So that's good. Been sick and stressed which is not so good, and this humidity is killing me. Going to Budapest next week which is awesome =3 I'll probs be updating more soon since I'm back to uni with it's stress and nervous breakdown potential but hopefully this year will go better
