hmm
well my host managed to restore only 300 of those pictures. what pisses me off is, ok... big situation. she told me she could restore my site from a back up made last friday. so i agreed but asked her if she could just restore the one database. but she said it would take longer, and if i was willing to wait she would. but i was in desperation so i said yes to the entire site being restored seeing as i wouldn't lose much data.
but oh no, i came back the next day and the back up loaded was NOT from friday. it was from 3 months ago. so now i've lost loads of work in other databases. ok yes, i got 200 more pictures back, but lost all the fanfiction ever submitted, forum posts and members etc. seething.
i love my host. i mean i really do. shes great and all, but i don't understand. hopefully she'll find a more recent back up or i really will close.
