A redeemign stab at AC lol~ I have never thought of it that way... I guess Cagalli probably does love him here, but I really don't have the heart to write that, hence why the whole fic is in Meyrin's pov... she simply can't figure Cagalli out because she's too young to understand that love really isn't everything.....
To me, I think Meyrin and Cagalli is almost exact opposite of each other... Meyrin is probably the one that's closest to a normal teenager in GSD while Cagalli is anything but normal... and although it might sound like I am dissing Meyrin, what I really mean to do in this fic is that being someone so important has a heavy price which unless you've (Meyrin has) been there, you'll never understand the pain.
I agree that the AMC triangle is realisitic :) But in my mind, taking off her ring is pretty much telling Athrun to get over her... I guess I still can't get over my contempt at Athrun for not being there when Cagalli needed him most (oh well, all the more KC moment I guess).

Naive little Meyrin... You really did write her well in this. I can see that she's just so... perplexed, that she is only some kid caught up in something so complex and tied so close with tons of peoples' emotions (obviously Athrun's, Cagalli's, and hers, but also those who care about them like Kira's, Lacus's, and Luna's).
I do agree, Meyrin is probably the least fucked by the war and therefore is the least experienced with painful stuff, although her escape with Athrun was pretty turbulent in her life. xD
Well, now that I think about it, he did kinda just... stop talking to her after he saw her without the ring. They were apart right after he saw that, though, so it is kinda complicated...
Man, talking to you always gives me ideas for fics! You always raise up points I hadn't thought about :)

To me, if I was 15, persuing a love life seems like the most meaningful thing in the world (heck, I think I would have still think that when I was 18, but Cagalli has been through quite a bit... and even still I think she isn't 100% willing to just "give it up", even though she's removing herself from the situation.)
Actually, I like how you mentioned that it really does involve a lot of people, espeically Kira... it'd be interesting to write some thing along that timeline with Kira's prespective... I might even add a bit of Shinn around just to spice things up :D
Depending if you count Final Plus... in FP, he did hug when she part with them when AA leaves... And to me, the hug seems pretty desparate... if I were Cagalli, the fact that they're setting off to leave me probably would make me think that Athrun's hug is more a "good bye (possibly forever)" hug. While from Athrun pov, considering he has simply reacted to girl's advances all GSD, this (and the ring giving) were about the only romantic move he made to anybody - so in his mind, he might think he have clearly shown his feelings for Cagalli... Personally I like this interpretation (at least with this fic anyway)... I am actually quite intrigue at this time period lately I might write a few drawing focusing on the immediate aftermath of the second war.
Yay, same here to reading your fic and talk to you always help me elborate my thoughts on the fic and makes me wanna write more XD
