So I have not updated in a long long time. It has been a hectic week and I am glad it is over.
State Capitol Week: Went with my program to the capitol. We met lots of interesting and important people. Though after meeting 3 out of 11/12 appointed cabinet members and other VIPs, I am definitely concerned about our state and nation's future.
Job Interview: Oh my gosh it was crazy! Overall, I am not a good fit for the program (I lack related experience and I am able to evaluate their program and not just "go with the flow"). But beyond that, the people were shady, unprofessional, and thought collaboration was like hearing a "four letter word" (no joke!). Of course, this is my opinion. I support the causes they are pursuing, but I was disappointed in their brainwash style of learning. So, yes, it looks like it will be the first job I applied for and didn't get. Not that I wanted it.
But on a good note, I got to visit two friends I have not seen in almost 2 years! And at the interview I met some really great people from Portland that I hope to meet up with in the future.
