Notes: I felt like it. That's all.

There was a dream I once had.

It's night and the stars are twinkling brightly, but with a sort of dimmed-out light, like a white candle flame, like a dying florescent bulb. And same with the moon, in all of it's wonder, comatose, drowned shining, like a little closet light, confined and secret.. There it casts down on you, that light, and it leaves a faint glow on your skin, cool, pastel, smooth. Bathed in blue, like a television in the dead of night.
And you hear this clock strike twelve, but there are no bells, no ticking, just your heart, but you only can feel it beat, silence settling like snow.
Then the Ocean. It's not really an ocean because you know it doesn't go on into the horizon. Trapped water. Dead sea. And hear the waves, rush of liquid, flow and tide and deep blue. Sleeping navy. Hills once green, now dyed aqua in the night, a blanket of darkness and calm, just faintly illuminated by the dead moon. Rolling hills. Like turtle shells dreaming.
But it's the air and the scent that really gets to you. The air is moist, cool, breathing air, sweet. A scent that is fresh, soft, like a bouquet of flowers, lilac, magnolia, floating in water, petals drifting, cotton blossom and sugar come to a boil, then set aside to cool.

And you're there, and you feel the waves caress your feet, the lilac air, the sugar water, a dying moonlight, and a sort of gravity gently tugs your eyelids, sleep takes you, relief, peace of mind. At last.

The next morning, reality came crashing down.
