Well, so far we've cut the cable, and we're already twitching around, looking for a remote that's not there . . .
Even if we do cut the internet too, all it means is I have to go across the street to my local library. Shudder the thought.

Start with Phillip K. Dick's The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch or Byron's plays Cain, Manfred, and Sardanapalus. If you like those, I may suggest other things.
