The weird long day...
Today I got some relief work for the organization that I have been working for a few years now. It was awesome to have some hours being so behind in funds. I mainly drove clients to appointments all day so by 5 I was pretty tired. I was on my way home and less than a block from our place when I spotted a lab with a red collar on the side of the road. I slowed in case he decided to run out into the road...and then he seemed to stop and sniff so I thought I was okay to continue. As I continued on he ran into the side of my car..I was horrified! I stopped the car and turned on my signal, I got out and as I went around the car I realized that he wasn't on the ground. I looked up and he was tearing off across the yards towards the houses on the street. I parked my car at our place and ran back looking for him, giving myself an asthma attack in the process. I ran into 2 women walking and enlisted their help, we went to a few houses and ruled out the only person they knew with a lab. No results :( I went the next street over to a friends house and asked them if they knew of anyone with a lab, only one couple and after speaking with them, found that no, it wasn't theirs either :*( I looked all over and couldn't find him. My only hope is that he ran straight home and was more scared than injured. I hope that he is okay and with his family, but I'm haunted by the other sad possibilities. In other positive news Jeff and I saw the puppies and have chosen our little Auggie, she's pretty damn cute and I may be biased but I know I'm right ;) I would love to bring 2 home, I've always dreamed of siblings...but we simply can't afford it. Poor Jeff has to help me with my bills this month. Hopefully my interview on Monday will lead to a job. Okay, I have 2 rum and cokes in me and I have to work at 7 am so I'm bed bound. Night.
