Fabulous dream!
Last night I slept soundly and well and dreamed that I was getting tours of the studio and sets for a new fantasy epic series of movies that are being filmed over the next few years for relaease Autumn 2008, 2009 and 2010.
The reason I got the Grande Tour was due to visiting the area for some, unspecified reason, and Mary (braider)Bertke hearing about my trip and calling me up to meet while I was there.
Apparently, in this little corner of Teddy's Dream World, Mary had been employed to work on all three movies, both acting in a minor role in some of the films and also doing hair - specifically as the the personal hairstylist for the female lead, Alyson Hannigan.
Which gave her a reasonable amount of clout around the set, since Ms Hannigan was calling the shots and loved whatever Mary did to her hair.
I just wish it were real - the movies would be great. Elves, wizards, magical creatures, stunning special effects and costumes spoilt, stuck-up and snobbish female lead who nevertheless gains the audience's sympathy as she takes on the Powers of Darkness despite the personal inconveninece it causes her (because it is The Right Thing To Do) - and a great cast.
I had to do the last part of the studio tour with one of the other hairstylists as Mary had to get made-up and costumed for one of her scenes as an operative in the spy network maintained by the Evil brothers (Alan Rickman and John Cleese) who were major players among the various Bad Guys of the series.
It may only have been a dream. but it was cool while it lasted.
