Question about knitted pad and tampons

Hi, ladies! I have a question for those of you who knit - Do you know of any good (easy) knitting patterns for "innie" pads or tampons? I vaguely remember a few people selling the innie pads a few months ago, but now I can't find any at all. I just started knitting a couple of days ago and would like to give them a try if they aren't too hard to

i don't think it's too hard to knit but I am extremely wary of internal devices that aren't non-absorbent, like the cup,
I am sure you could get it as clean as a commercial tampon but I might worry about drying time and bacteria growth .........all in all not my favorite idea........
