Hello all! I am very pleased to see that this community is still around although I notice that there seem to be fewer pad makers compared to 2010 when I first came here- at the time I believe Fussybutt Moonbow was the big favorite and most of the sellers I see on here now aren't familiar. Shortly after finding out about cloth pads, I ended up getting an IUD and didn't have periods for about 2 years. My periods are now back but so light that I basically just wear my old period panties unless I'm going out, in which case I use a disposable liner. I go through maybe 2 liners per period total, but I'm looking to develop a stash of cloth pads so that I have an excuse to upgrade my underwear. So I'm looking for cloth liners that are thin and nonbulky, no waterproofing necessary.
If it matters, I tend to bleed a lot to the front, so I'm not sure if a particular shape of cloth pad would be best. The disposables I use are probably about 7 inches and if I place one slightly wrong, I bleed off the front. I hate wings for the chafing but find them very effective, so I'm thinking I'd probably like them in cloth.
So I'm looking for recommendations for different pad makers to try out, specifically for liners. I am not interested in PUL or minky but fleece is okay for water resistance. I think I would probably prefer flannel, maybe bamboo velour- but the cotton prints are so cute so I wouldn't mind trying one out. My biggest issue is bulk- I had a PIMP liner at one point that, due to the wings, was super bulky when snapped because it didn't lay flat and was kind of puffy because the legs of my underwear bent it upward I guess. I think I would prefer narrower wings or tabs if possible.
I'm planning to buy 4-5 liners from different sellers and determine what I like from that sample. Recommendations please!
I would also really like recommendations for a small wetbag for my purse, and possibly a larger one for storage prior to washing.
