I am 24 years old and I suffer from Endometriosis. I just decided to switch from disposable menstrual products like tampons and liners. I have a light to heavy flow depending on the time of my cycle. I am currently using the Instead cups but they do not hold as much fluid and they tend to pop out if I cough/sneeze. I am one of those people that ( Read more... )

I've heard Caroline's Creations and Mimi's dreams are awesome. Now, I don't have CC's and I don't prefer my Mimi's BUT I am also highly picky and found out I am not fond of the winged pads in general. I've heard a lot of good reviews about these two companies from other people on here. C-Pop commodities is great. I LOVE my Amy's Rag Bag pads, although, it did take a while for them to be made and sent to me. However, her sampler pack price cannot be beat ( ... )

You may also consider making your own. A yard of flannel and a yard of terry cloth is really cheap and can get you a lot of pads. There are tons of patterns online.

I'm about 5'2", 110 lbs give or take and I would definitely recommend Mimi's Dreams. She sells kits on Etsy that tend to cover a variety of flows, from liners to overnights. I also really love Yurtcraft for heavier days. Both brands are super comfortable, absorbent and have never made me look like I'm wearing a diaper.

My favorite cloth pads besides my own (C-Pop Commodities) are iKarly, Yurtcraft and Mimi's Dreams. All of which are offered at very affordable prices based on the costs of supplies, let alone the time spent creating and listing each pad. And are all very comfortable and absorbent ( ... )

I second this!

I'd also like to add, that when you are looking to buy pads, avoid pads that use "batting" material inside of them. This material is not absorbent, it's not a fabric, and can cause leakage and odor. Batting material also goes by "wadding" or "warm and natural" or "cotton with no glues, resins, etc". I just wanted to mention this because my first cloth pads that I purchased when I was a newbie had batting, and it gave me a really bad experience.

As a previous comment said, you can also make them your own with some flannel and PUL (sold online) or polyester fleece.

My favorites are iKarly, and I just bought my first yurtcraft a few weeks ago and loved it, too. :)
