Third Pad - Refining The Pattern

May 19, 2012 10:51

This is the third pad I have sewn, and I think I have the pattern pretty much how I want it now. I found triangular wings are easier for me to sew than the shape I drew initially. The stitching around the core is still wonky, as the bamboo fleece slipped while I was sewing it, so I had to add a couple of extra lines. But that's the only issue, and it's not a huge one. I am excited that I will actually be able to use this one during my next cycle! I tested out the wings, and the fit is good. :)

The top is quilter's cotton, the bottom lining is non-pill fleece, and the core is made up of cotton flannel, bird's eye cotton, and bamboo fleece, with one layer going through the whole pad and wings for extra protection.
