Question about wet bags

Hey everyone,

I'm back with another question as I am thinking about modifying my cleaning routine (I'm new to cloth and am still deciding what works best for me).  I was watching TarotLadyLissa's youtube video about her cleaning routine and like the idea of doing one cleaning at the end of my cycle as opposed to rinsing on a daily basis.  I am curious though about a couple things that seem to go against some things I read in the tags section of this community:

1) Is it true that if you let the blood dry before doing the soaking (at the end of your cycle), you reduce staining because the blood doesn't stay wet on the pad?  I thought you weren't supposed to let it dry because then you're much more likely to get staining.

2) She was in love with her wetbag from blossom pads... can the pads really dry out in the wetbag (even with the zipper left cracked open an inch or two)?  Does the wetbag start to smell?  Lissa also recommended in her video an open bucket (under the sink) for letting the pads dry.  Would they smell in the bucket?  Or, is a wetbag really meant to be emptied on a daily basis?  Any other wetbag experiences/recs are also appreciated!

Thanks everyone!  Sorry for what must seem to be ridiculous questions for the cloth experienced :)
