Stainless Steel & Oxygen Bleach= Bad Combo?

Hi,

I just updated my soak pot from a plastic dvd box to this stainless steel compost pail http://www.target.com/p/Stainless-Steel-Compost-Pail-5L/-/A-12770383 that I found in the clearance section at Target. Is stainless steel & oxygen bleach a safe combo? I would hate for the pail to corrode or worse.. my pads to get rust stains!

My soak method:
rinse pad until water runs clear, then I soak in cold water from 1 hour to 1 day (depending on time of day I used the pad) with homemade laundry soap and a bit of oxygen bleach, at the end of each day in my cycle I rinse & wring out all the pads I've worn for the day, hang dry, and throw them in my hamper until laundry day. So, the stainless steel won't be exposed to water & my laundry soap/oxygen bleach solution for days or weeks.

Thanks!
