Review: Cloth Pads/Diva Cup

Oct 29, 2006 15:32

**Important** Please keep in mind that since I am on the NuvaRing as birth control, my periods went from heavy (5-7 days) to regular/light (3-4 days). This review might not apply to you if you are a heavy bleeder (except for the Diva Cup. That is usually recommended for heavy bleeders. ^_~

Here is  my promised review:

Hi, my auctions on ebay ended yesterday (Wed). Please check out my new store on Etsy: http://tamarack.etsy.com
I have a handful of pads listed already, with more to come in the next day or so. I have been very busy sewing!

Thank you mormon princess and all the rest of you for your reviews!!! I REALLY appreciate your enthusiasm and your business.

Yay! Thanks so much for the reviews! I love reading reviews! I got my pad from tamarack_gal a few weeks ago and haven't used it yet but I want to because it's beautiful! I'm really looking forward to using it next cycle.

You'll love it! It's so soft! I'm using one right now!! LOL TMI I know...hahaha.

Which one did you get from her?

I've honestly never loved my period so much until my Diva and cloth pads!

Now... if I could only figure out how to get the darn stem on my Diva to not poke me sometimes... =/

I'll try to post more reviews. Honestly, I think everyone should! We should tag them or something! It would be easier for the newbies to go research instead of asking "um...what do you all think of ___insert pad here___?" =)

I got the stars one- black background and stars with different colors- it's so pretty! Can't wait to use it next month. For the Diva stem, you can trim it and kinda shave down the rough edges with a metal nail file. That's what I did and the stem doesn't poke me anymore. I love posts with stash pictures and/or reviews- those are my favorite posts! Moonhutnaturals.Com is a great site for newbies- I started there just reading reviews and that's how I decided to get the pads that I did get.

If your diva sits low enough and you can reach the bottom of the cup then you should be ok cutting the stem. I cut my stem completely off because it always poked me. I can still take out the Diva easily because even though the bottom of the cup is *slippery* I can still pinch it together and the cup comes out easily.

I had issues with the lunapads snap closure too. It's the sew-on one, right? If you order again, try the older style from the clearance section (there are three snaps and the rubbing doesn't happen) or request "snap on" snaps. You may have to do a phone order, but that's fine, the Luna ladies are SOOOOOOO nice on the phone.
