Do wetbags need to be waterproofed?

Jul 01, 2010 07:19

Hi everyone!

I'm thinking I would like to make some wetbags, but I don't want to use waterproofing.  I would probably line them with corduroy instead.  I wonder if anyone would use them, or do you need waterproofing?

Three reasons for the question.   1)  I don't find it necessary for myself, so I wonder if anyone else out there is like me.  Personally, I just fold the pads and put them in my pocket when I'm out.  A wetbag would be nice for heavy days, though.  Save my pockets for other things. :)   2)  The less airflow there is, the more smelly bacteria are going to breed.  3) I don't want to use up my precious waterproofing materials.  I don't buy new PUL, and second-hand PUL is hard to come by, especially in pieces big enough for a wetbag.

So, poll:

*crosses fingers because I don't think I have ever posted an lj poll successfully.* :p
