Hello ladies!
I was watching a show called How It's Made and saw the production of disposable menstrual products, or called "Sanitary Napkins".
They contain:
_cellulose
_polymer powder from petroleum or wheat
_paper from pulp
_adhesive
Now wonder these things are so absorbent!! What is even worse is that these powders expand into Gels (as shown in the video)...

Additionally, this awesome blog post is good too:
What's in that Disposable Menstrual Pad of yours - the Tiny Tapir I hope this information will encourage some ladies who are still unsure or are just wandering about cloth menstrual pads.
Industrial Absorbents/Gel/Adhesive? No thanks, I prefer cloth :DD!
I spent 10 years menstruating with stupid disposable pads. While they seem to be "convenient" for some, they sure aren't healthy. It's like those junk food vending machines. They are "convenient", but aren't so health wise with the snack selection LOL.
Also, Thanks to the Women who sell cloth pads, your advice and products continue to fuel this community. <3
