Nothing much just a hodge-podge
First a huge thank you for the postcard from normalgrrl while on vacation. It was great to hear from the family!!!!
In other news, I just found out a few days ago that a good friend of mine is being deployed to Iraq. This is the first time I've known someone close to me that is going to the war zone. It's kind of scary in a way, but I'm not really worried for his safety, I just know he'll be ok somehow. It's more just the realization that someone I care about is going someplace dangerous and may be hurt. I'll miss him, that's for sure, but at least we get to write.
