So, to add to my lack of sleep, a very freaky thing happened in the wee hours of the morning. First off, to set the stage, I never have my cell phone nearby when I go to sleep, it is usually left downstairs, but because of the girl scout sleepover I had to keep my cell nearby. The cell rings at 4:40am and I am expecting to maybe see a girl scout mom's name appear on my screen, no name, so I answer, but it has gone on into voice mail, and my screen lights up with the missed call number, it (I thought) was my mom's hospital number, so I hit callback, and wait to ask for her room number, thinking all sort of not good things, when this male voice answers and says, 'hey' it sounded like my dad for a minute, and in my half-asleep, adrenaline-awakened state I couldn't figure out why my dad would be answering the hospital phone, but I managed a questioning, 'hello.' Then this male voice says he was looking for his friend (couldn't understand the name). I tell him he has the wrong number, hang up and go look at my call log... yes, the phone number was exactly the same as the hospital's except for the area code (which shows up very small on my missed call screen).
So, I don't really believe in coincidences, but really, what are the chances of someone drunk dialing my phone in the middle of the night with the same number (but different area code) of the hospital that my mom is in?
