I Don't Trust the Transphobic Librarian
I go to a library close to my home and the librarian there
refuses to call me by my FTM/genderqueer name Mel, because she says that name is not on my card. Eh, hem, the name Mel is short for my legal female name it is not "confusing"! She doesn't seem to care and has always been disrespectful of my gender identity. I don't trust anything she says--I worry eventually she could harass me.
This is the closet library for me to use a computer, and being disabled and receiving benefits I can't change my legal documents--what can I do?
