The chick at the doctor's office was miffed because Medicaid wouldn't pay for a certain type of insulin for me. She's going to explore other options, but in the meantime I have to take what I can get.
Well, I discussed how she upped my Prozac. I thought she had doubled it, when in fact it's quadrupled. I was taking 10mg, 1x a day. My new dose is 40mg, 1x a day. Here's the kicker: Medicaid will pay for 10mg and 20mg pills, but they won't pay for the 40mg pills without prior authorization. The PA consists of the doctor telling them why she feels I need the 40mg pills and not the 20's. Ok, so when the pharmacy called the office to let them know what Medicaid said, she was even madder at them. What did she do? She rewrote the prescription. 20mg, twice a day. LMAO. That's telling them! And they PAID for it! How stupid is this?
Good for me.....stupid on their part.
