Well, I'm online. Not through the desktop, I forgot to pay the bill before I left work Friday. I'm on the laptop, someone in my area has an unsecured wireless network, so I connected, LOL.
I watched Clean Sweep this morning. I got motivated. I cleaned my bedroom. Right now, I'm down to three laundry baskets, one small box and one tote full of stuff to sort. I tossed a LOT of crap. Mike even helped, he cleaned out under the bed. I'm not sure I like it, though, my bedroom echos. I don't like that "empty room" sound.
I've also been on a laundry fix today. I think I'm on like my 4th or 5th load. There were a lot of clothes on the floor at the bottom of my bed (they fell out of the baskets) and with the critters we have if it's on the floor they sleep on it. We had a lot of laundry, anyway, though. I've been trying to conserve by washing fewer loads, but stuff piles up that way.
I made Apple Pie bread in the machine today. Ryan and I didn't like it. It was heavy and a little dry. I'm going to try it again tomorrow with modifications. Right now I have some peanut butter bread in the machine. I just put it in, it'll be done in 3 hours. I'll let you know how it goes.
We've been getting some rain since Christmas. Georgia was on track to have the driest year since 1940-something, but we picked up an inch yesterday alone! They're predicting more for tomorrow. I'm glad, I'm happy, and I was out dancing in it Friday. :)
We have roof leaks at work. We have 13 buildings in the Atlanta area. It's been so long since we had a good downpour, and all kinds of new stuff popped up. Even in the lobby, I was sitting there hearing something. I traced it to a light fixture/ac vent in the corner of the lobby. The drip was every 3 to 5 minutes and it sounded like it was hitting something metal. The landlord was supposed to be coming out to look at stuff on Monday.
My ankle is hurting something fierce. Well, now it isn't because I took a pill - but it was earlier. LOL I turned the heat up, it was a little chilly. It's strange, though, because my ankle is hurting more than my knee lately. I guess if something has to hurt I'd rather it be only one thing and not two.
Mike went into the auto parts store the other day and saw a friend of his he hadn't seen since before we got married. This guy is a trained Volkswagen mechanic! He said he probably has the distributor we need and it would only be about $30. He told Mike he'd probably help get the thing running just for something to do. Boo yeah!
Have I told you my dream vacation? I want to drive the van to Arkansas, camp out in it, and mine in the diamond fields. If you don't know about the Arkansas diamond fields, Google it because it's awesome. Maybe we can get a group of LJ'ers together to go diamond mining and camping? That would be a hoot! I love camping, I lay on my back at night, look up at the stars and either howl or look for aliens. Sometimes I do both. :)
