It was 36 at 5am this morning. By the time I left the house at 7:15, it
had warmed up to the unbearable temperature of 38! (Sometimes I despise
computers and typing....you just can't get the sarcasm to shine
through!)
Yesterday we changed beds. A day late, but now we've got clean sheets &
blankets, so who's complaining?
I had Mike put our comforter and sheets on the floor almost in front of
the washing machine, in front of the laundry baskets. Ryan's blanket &
sheets were left on the floor in his room. I figured I'd get to them in
a few minutes. Well, I took my nap, then didn't get to them. I had
pulled all the dogs blankets off the floor in the living room and gotten
them into the washer, but I hadn't gotten them back out. At 11pm, after
Housewives and the news, I was switching over the laundry and putting a
load into the washer. I was going to set the delay so that the load
would be finished soon after I woke up at 5am.
Well, go to pick up my blankets & sheets off the floor, there's a little
black ball on them, about 2 feet across, maybe less. Can't exactly see
what it is in the dark so I reached down and poked the ball - a black
head popped up in the darkness....LOL. It was Shadow! I couldn't see him
very well, but I could tell he was giving me a, "Please don't take the
warm blanket" look. Their blankets are usually under the kitchen table
in the living room, near the heater. They like it there, but the
blankets DO have to be washed, you know.
I went into Ryan's room to grab his blanket. In the darkness, I'm
thinking it's kinda heavy for a blanket and some sheets. Reach into the
pile, there's a dog on this one, too! Peanut, by the feel of the
standy-up ears. Oy. Fine, keep the blankets, I'll do towels. :P
Bigun was on the couch. I didn't have to bother him. He didn't look like
he wanted to be bothered with, either. He was all snuggled up in a ball,
too.
Poor babies. I'll have to put their blankets back down tonight. I put
them in the dryer before I left for work this morning.
