damn, half blood prince always makes me get all emotional near the end. even though i've read the UK and US versions, twice of each of them now, i still get all antsy and even a little surprised the way everything turns out. the way it all just goes to hell near the end there. admittedly, not the most literary writing ever, but hey, captivating story cannot be denied.
god, the wait till 07/07/07 ("seven is the most powerful magical number") is going to kill me, for serious. i've just gotta say, while HBP is definitely a good book, it was far shorter than i wanted it to be, and should anyone be in a position to tell JK to make this final one a really long book, tell her. i'm all for being concise, but seriously, the final book better be like 1200 pages or something.
well, you may be wondering how the hell i found the time to read such a long book, not to mention that it was preceded by reading OotP and watching GoF, with my job. well, sad to say it, but that ship has sailed. unfortunately, i was unable to raise the funds necessary for them to keep me on as a fundraiser. so now i've been frantically searching for work (like everywhere!) and wondering if anyone would actually want to hire me, considering that i'm not really here that much longer, and the time that i am here for is kinda split by my being completely not here for a week (family vacation).
but, christ man, harry loses his old man, his mom, his Sirius, and then his Dumbledore. how fucked up is that shit? then, he's all happy with his Ginny, and he totally gives her the boot which, while a noble route to take, still kinda sucks for him. but, you've gotta hand it to his peeps, Weasley and Granger, who insist they'll be sticking with him through thick and thin. gotta wonder how all that works out though.
at least rowling's left herself with a very clear story to fill in. its almost like a madlib, if you think about it. i mean
step 1) Bill and Fleur's wedding (where some shit may well go down)
step 2) chez Dursley for the last time (though if he's going there for the protection, he might well need that protection...we shall see)
step 3) visit dead 'rents and their (former) house (where it is highly likely a horcrux is to be found, considering Riddle always liked to hide stuff where he'd done his shit)
step 4) "the locket...the cup...the snake...something of Gryffindor's or Ravenclaw's..." SEARCH AND DESTROY (though the question does remain as to whether RAB really did get rid of the locket, in which case there'd only be the last three, of which the snake is probably going to be the last to go before...
step 5) showdown at the OK corral (where a reappearance of the priori incantatem we all remember so well from GoF is likely to go down, unless, of course, JK can come up with a way to get around this)
well, yeah, thats about it. unless you care to check out this site, whose address kinda speaks for itself, though it does cover a good deal more ( Snape: good or evil; RAB: who is this dude? (quite a good read, convincing theory supporting Regulus Black))
http://www.dumbledoreisnotdead.com/ i guess i've exhausted this as a subject, but whatever, i hadn't updated in a bit, i guess i just had a lot to say...just not necessarily about myself, or about recent things...or things of any real import, i guess
whatever
