Yesterday I got to see a good friend of mine. I don't get to see him often, and haven't seen or really heard from him in the last month or so. So we went for a hike with the dog and afterwards went for dinner.

But something happened on the hike that never happened before, I fell.

I never fall. I hike at least 2 times a week (hikes for me are 3+ hours) and otherwise walk my dog every day for a good amount of time. But this time, as I was talking to my friend, I lost my footing. Sending my ankle one way and my body another. My friend kinda freaked for he has never seen me fall either. I laughed it off and he helped me up. We walked the rest of the way without issue. My shin/ankle/foot felt tender, but no real pain except a dull ache. So we went slowly until we get back to my house. The dog didn't care.

Everything else that day went fine.

This morning though.......things are different. My foot and ankle are quite swollen and I am limping. My small bones in my foot feel tender and i have a dull shooting pain coming up my leg. I am finding it all entertaining for I have never really so much as twisted my ankle since I was a kid. Never broken anything either. So I am guessing that today wouldn't be a good day to go to kickboxing class. Which sucks.

I am taking care of Tony Balogna for the next while. He and my dog won't be walking for the next little while. But at least they are both pretty mellow and I am sure that I can play on the floor with them and interact that way to starve off bordom.

Other than that it is all business as usual really. I went to another job interview and I hope that I got it. Always optimistic. I can only do what I can do and just keep working at it until I get somewhere.
