"We Don't Speak Of It."

Apr 04, 2005 22:58

We didn't speak of a lot of things during our trip to D.C. this weekend.  That was probably the most common saying of the weekend, closely followed by all thespians singing "Money makes the world go round, the world go round...".  I won't lie, I slacked off on my last picture post.  This one will actually have descriptons with the pictures because lets face it, anyone who wasn't there won't have ANY idea what was going on.

So, we arrive at the school much earlier than anyone who is sane would arrive there.  By some miracle the Johnstons are only about 10 min late and we start off for washington.

First pictures off the bus:

^Andy the "Pimp"

^ Aghhh!!! BEWARE THE VORTEX!!!!

^ Proof that Jeff and Jason read Cosmo.

Along the way we stop at a rest stop and Meg buys Mad Libs, those provide hours of entertainment by the way.  We also watched Center Stage.  I loved it,  some people sufferd through it, screw them.  We arrived at D.C. and Brittany spazed over seeing the Washington Monument.  We sang in front of the Capitol, how pointless.  About three people stayed for the whole thing and they laughed at us.

So we toured the Capitol:

^ What waiting in long lines does to a person.

^ The exact center of D.C., supposed to be good luck if you stand in the star.

^ Trying to cure Jared's leg by standing in the star, he had to walk up and down several flights of stairs during the course of this trip by the way.

^ Standing on the star with our tour guide, he was so into Heather. ;-)

^ He's there, the Phantom of the Opera!

^ That was so high up, the artwork in this building was the best part for me.

^ We forced Jared to take the elevator.

At last we got to the hotel.

BEST HOTEL EVER:

^ Big rooms!

^ A pool!

^ And a hot tub! (Why are some of the pictures really small and some really big?)

On to the sight seeing:

^ It was really cold.

^ And wet.

^ This is what happens when you run ten blocks in high heels from the pointless White House tour to the bus in the pouring rain.

^ And this is what happens when you wait in line in the pouring rain.

Air and Space:

Okay, here's a riddle for you.....

What's loud, loves Justin Timberlake and fits easily into overhead compartments?

^ Jeff of course.

^ Oh the things we learn.

^ No one escapes THE VORTEX!

We saw "Shear Madness" and it was hilarious.  I'm getting tired so I won't go much into it but I loved it.  So much talent.

Shear Madness:

^ The stage.

^ Almost all of us on one couch.

^ Waiting for the bus, again.  Tony kept me warm for the majority of this trip.

^ What's better than eating chicken noodle soup with Heather and AJ at 11:30 in the hotel hallway?

^ I finally saw Abe, yay.

^ One of the best views in the world there.

^ The Korean Wall, it was beautiful.

^ This is my favorite picture from the whole trip.

^ Seniors saying goodbye.

As much as I hate chorus, I had fun and love the people there.  Till next year.
