Shades o' Shame is nothing anyone's heard of -- an imaginary bar from a scrap of fic imagery I never managed to turn into a story. It's where characters whose story arcs are stalled in misery go for company. I vaguely remember Xander asleep with his head in Servalan's lap, and Spike, recently chipped, demanding to know why Kai (Lexx) rated a blood cocktail and he didn't. The idea for a crossroads inn or saloon where characters from different fictional universes can meet is not mine, of course. It goes further back than I can trace it, and it continues to be popular today, notably in role-playing games. (Fandom High is an online rpg centered on a cross-fictional high school.)

"Little black dress" is a term for a character who, like the garment,(a) is appropriate in a wide range of situations, (b) looks good on just about anyone, and (c) is hot. More simply, someone who is a natural for crossover smut. Krycek from X-Files is an example: his universe canonically overlaps with all sorts of weird stuff, if there's trouble (aka 'plot') he'll gravitate toward it, and he's kind of a slut. Dr. Who is crossoverable but the Doctor is too chaste to qualify easily; Captain Jack, on the other hand... I believe I've heard a similar character called a "little black thong".

Supernatural is another universe that's very easy to cross over with other fandoms, and Dean at least is a flirt, but I hate to separate the boys for long. So I needed a two-piece garment instead of a one-piece. Hence, tankini.

I love bunnies.

lol thanks. Now I know, and believe it or not I appreciate it. Ah the bunnies. Who doesn't love them. I think my thought patterns arn't going in the appropriate circles as my sentences are disjointed, thats what you get for typing very late at night. You ever need a random bunny, feel free to ask me, I'm good with random. Moo. Thanks again. =)
