(no subject)
So I'm finally getting around to writing about my spring break. It was pretty much the best time I've ever had in my life. Chris and I went on a 6 night, 7 day cruise to Belize City, Belize, Costa Maya, Mexico, and Cozumel, Mexico.
Independence of the Seas
Being on the biggest ship in the world was pretty awesome. Our room was tiny but it was cute that way and it didn't matter anyway cause you're not in it much. We went on the Flow Rider, hung out on deck, played in the casino (well Chris did and won $300!!), and went to the bars. We went and got pizza every night before bed and ate dinner every night with a really awesome table.
After dinner we went to the show every night including an ice skating show. It was really fun. Our cruise director was the shit and I wish he was on land so I could book tickets to go see him somewhere.
Belize
We didn't have an excursion booked but we ended up finding a Belizian who brought us on an hour tour through the city in a mini van then to a man made islandy beach thing where we went zip lining..
We also had awesome food and local beer there called Belikin. 6 beers, 2 full lunches, and a nacho cheese thing was only 25 dollars. I love Belize and want to go back.
Costa Maya
This port was a lot more touristy. The only reason we saw some stuff is because we had an excursion booked to go snorkeling. On the way we saw all the devastation from hurricane Dean. Snorkeling was pretty fun. We saw some pretty blue fish, lobsters, and squid.
Cozumel
I loved it here! We booked an excursion called the Passion Island Beach Break. It was an hour boat ride to a private mile long island. There we had all the drinks we wanted along with chicken, fish, and guacamole. We were all pretty much in heaven. We layed down for a bit, I went in the water, and we explored the other side of the island with our friends Kate and Andy we met.
The boat ride was so long on the way back I had to pee in a bucket. In port we hung out at Senor Frogs where I probably should have quit drinking cause I don't really remember a lot and it was like 3 in the afternoon.
I really hope I can go on a trip like this again someday. Thank you Chris :*
