I am so grateful. My second graders and cooperating teacher threw me a party today since my last day is on Wednesday. It was so nice! She set up a chair wrapped in streamers like the rest of the room. She had cheetos, popcorn, and chocolate chip cookies.. my favorite snacks. And she sent home a letter to the kids telling them to bring me in teacher gifts so I got tons and tons of awesome stuff that I opened in my chair. Post its, stickers, pens, highlighters, markers, name tags, certificates, and anything else a teacher could need. I'm set! My cooperating teacher gave me a Vera Bradley bag as a gift and she also put together something else that made me cry. She bought a childrens book titled When We're Together and it's about the fun times a set of bunnies have together. She put all the kids school pictures on stickers and had them write notes to me on labels about how much they will miss me and she put it next to their name in the front and back of the book. They wrote such nice things. I cried in front of them and they gave me the biggest hug.
