I think it's the fic "Auld Lang Syne" by amr. Unfortunately, if that's the case, I believe it was only ever posted at OWL and therefore is no longer online.

I never read that one (still on my to-be-reading pile), but wasn't the title "Auld Acquaintance"? Or did amr write another story with this title?

Oh, no, of course you're right, and the story is called "Auld Acquaintance". Hmmm, but you don't think that's the story you mean. I remember the scene you're referring to. I'll see if I can track it down any further.

I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean with this: "Hmmm, but you don't think that's the story you mean."

What I meant is that I never read it, but wanted to know if the title of the story you named was "Auld Acquaintance" instead of "Auld lang syne". If it's any help, I have that story saved on my hard-drive.
