I am feeling sorry for myself. Today was going well - I passed my theory test! I'm allowed behind a wheel! And we're getting a brand new car on Friday! - until I fell flat on my face coming out of my Italian class. I have:
ripped the arm off my coat almost all the way around (and yes, The Coat);
taken the knee out of my new, beloved trousers;
lost skin from both knees (interestingly, the other knee of my trousers is absolutely fine);
bent the leg of my glasses;
put huge scores in the lens-of-the-eye-I-do-most-of-my-seeing-out-off and thus will have to be replaced;
got a black eye;
lost knuckles on one hand;
lost a lot of skin on the same hand - already sporting a massive bruise.
I sting in many places, hurt in more, am rather embarrassed, and can't see. I feel sorry for myself. And my coat. And my trousers. And my glasses. Why must I always have comedy broken glasses? That said, when I fell I didn't have the time to put my arm out to save myself, but just about got my hand over my face. To protect the glasses. Only conscious thought apart from "how do you fall ONTO your face?!" was "Argh, glasses!"
Also, I have some new scars to look forward to. Meh.
